Mr. Seymour C. Clarke, 93, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 2, 2005. He was born February 17, 1911, in Milton, to the late Harlow and Thelma (nee: Rood) Clarke and lived most of his life in Racine. In Mukwonago, on April 26, 1933, he was united in marriage to the former Nina Johnson, who preceded him in death on October 7, 1987. In Delavan, on December 27, 1989, he was united in marriage to the former Edythe Carroll. He was employed by Progressive Dairy for 28 years and attended Racine Bible Church. Mr. Clarke was a very avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing, carpentry, enjoyed watching sports, and was a very active volunteer for clubs and organizations. Surviving are his wife, Edythe M. Clarke of Racine; his children, daughter, Joan (Walt) Grgich of Santa Clara, Calif., sons, Donald (Sharon) Clarke of Columbus, N.C. and Tom Clarke of Racine; nine grandchildren; numerous beloved great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Avenue, on Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Miesel officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Garden Court Crypts.
