BANGOR COURIER - 25 January 1887:
******************************
We regret to announce the death, suddenly, in this city, yesterday morning of, of Mrs. Mary Ann Bradbury, wife of Simon P. Bradbury, Esquire, after a painful illness from asthma, terminating in heart disease. Although Mrs. Bradbury has long been an invalid and suffered fearfully from asthmatic troubles, her death by heart disease was sudden and unexpected.
For nearly her entire life she has been an invalid. Never of strong constitution, she was doubly burdened with a complication of diseases, among which asthma was the most troublesome, confining her indoors for many years. She bore her troubles with great Christian fortitude, and those who knew her best, loved her the most. Her life, as far as her health would permit, was full of good deeds, and was one of great devotion to her family. A good living Christian wife and mother has gone. The bereaved husband and children will have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
She had resided in Bangor for about forty-five years.
