Edwin Doyle, Baring, Died Enroute To Hospital In Quincy Early Sunday

Edwin Doyle of Baring, 44 years old, for the last four years mail messenger for the postal department at Baring, died at 2:30 o'clock Sunday morning, June 3, 1956. He was taken suddenly ill Saturday evening and death came enroute to a hospital in Quincy. The body was brought to the Kriegshauser Funeral Home here, where it remained until Monday afternoon, when it was taken to the family home.

A Requiem High Mass was sung at St. Aloysius Church, Baring, at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning by the Rev. Stephen Carew, pastor. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery.

Surviving are Mr. Doyle's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Doyle, and three sisters, Mary Catherine, Mrs. Martin Delaney, of Chicago; Florence, Mrs. Leo Moore, of Albuquerque, N. Mex., and Bernadette, Mrs. Willard Delaney, of Baring.

Basil Edwin Doyle, or "Bud" Doyle as he was known to his friends, a son of Thomas A. and Mayme E. McKendry Doyle, was born May 18, 1912, near Baring. He grew to manhood and lived in that vicinity.

Those from away attending the funeral of Mr. Doyle were: Mrs. Martin Delaney and two children, Kathleen and Gerald of Chicago; Miss Catherine McKendry of Tempe, Ariz; Basil McKendry of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; Alex McKendry of Canton; Mrs. Paul Ringhausen of Hardin, Ill; Miss Emily Bone of Tulsa, Okla; A. L. Zentz of Brashear; Mr. and Mrs. Orville Ikerd, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Rakers and Anne Polhans of Quincy.
