Mrs. Laetta Della Scales, 73, of 426 East Johnson Avenue, died at 11:30 PM. yesterday, in Decatur and Macon Hospital, she had been ill six weeks. Mrs. Scales, a lifetime resident of Decatur was born here March 11, 1890, daughter of Charles T. and Emma O. Collins, she married Phillip E. Scales in 1910, in St. Louis Mossouri, he died August 15th. 1956.
Mrs. Scales was a member of the United Brethren Church, surviving are one Step-son Russell Scales of Decatur, three brothers, Frank Collins of Decatur, Monte Collins, Peoria, A. B. Collins, Chicago. Two sisters Mrs. Gordon (Helen) Torrence, Fort Wayne Indiana, Mrs. Tom (Lucille) Dillman, Decatur, three step-grandchildren and five Great Step-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 pm. Friday in the J. H. Moran and son funeral home with burial in Fairlawn Cemetery
