ELAM AMSUTZ: Gresham attorney Elam Amstutz, 62, of Rt. I. Box 829, Gresham, died Tuesday in a Portland hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 3 p m. Friday at Ross Hollywood Chapel with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. Mr. Amstutz was born July 8, 1902, in Silverton and was graduated from the University of Oregon. He received his law degree from Northwestern University. He was a member of the Northwestern University Alumni Association, the Oregon State and Multnomah County Bar Associations, Woodmen of the World, the East Side Commercial Club, the Moose, Scottish Rite and Royal Arch Masons, the Al Kader Shrine Temple, the Boy Scouts of America as district director, the Rotary Club of East Portland and Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity and Gamma Eta Gamma legal fraternity. Mr. Amstutz is survived his widow, Frieda E., daughter Mrs. Barbara Colebank of Salem, son David E. of Washington, D.C., two grand children and a niece.
