Justus married, January 21, 1794, his 1st wife Elizabeth Trowbridge (b. 1773) by whom he had 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter): Parmelia (b. 1797) and Justus (b. 1799).
Justus moved from Whitehall to New Ashford, Berkshire County, Massachusetts about 1800; thence to Otto, Cattaraugus County, New York about 1820, where he was elected a Commissioner of Highways at that Town's first Town meeting held on the 2nd Tuesday of February 1823. He remainded in Otto six or eight years, and removed to Pennsylvania and later to Ohio.
Justus married, March 6, 1800, his 2nd wife Menoni M. Burchard by whom he had 14 children (6 sons and 8 daughters): Daniel (b. 1801), Sally (b. 1802), Irene (b. 1804), Manoah M. (b. 1806), Betsy (b. 1808), Lorenzo (b. 1811), Samuel H. (b. 1813), J. W. (b. 1815), Anna (b. 1817), Lucinda (b. 1818), twins Azau and Brittania (b. 1820), Hannah E. (b. 1823), and George W. (b. 1825).

"7. Justus, born June 20, 1771, was the first Bartholomew native of Whitehall. He was a Methodist preacher and moved from town about 1805. He lived at various places in Western New York and Pennsylvania, and died in Hornellsville (sic. Berlinville, Ohio). He had sixteen children, but none of his decendants reside in this section."
