HIGHLANDVILLE - James Bruce Orrell, 73, Highlandville, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday in his home after a long illness. He had been a resident of Highlandville since 1955, moving here from the state of Florida. He was a retired service station manager and was a member of the Highlandville Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; a son, the Rev. Richard B. Orrell, Independence; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret White, Route 13, Springfield, Mrs. Mary McDonald, 3635 Cox Road, Springfield and Mrs. Sue Holder, Indianola, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ford, DeLand, Fla., Mrs. Margaret Beasley, Trenton, Fla., Mrs. Kenneth Watts, DeLand, Fla. and Mrs. Marion Aly, Apopka, Fla.; a brother, Robert L. of Sanford, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Highlandville Assembly of God. The Rev. Gary Phipps and Rev. Daniel McDonald officiated. Burial was in Highlandville Cemetery under direction of Greenlawn, Springfield.
