David Workman and Linda Filenda Cournoryea were married December 24, 1894 .Wright County, Minnesota.

OBITUARY

David Workman was born Jan. 25, 1867, near Pleasant Valley, Ontario, Canada and died June 15, 1949, in the Cokato hospital, having passing his 82nd birthday.
In the sping of 1875, when he as 8 years old, he accompanied his parents, brothers and sisters to Howard Lake. They settled on the north shore on the farm now owned by Edward Zander. When a very young man he purchased his present farm home, homesteaded by the father of the late H. D. Garman. Here he spent his entire life except for a few years spent in the village of Howard Lake.
On December 24, 1894, he was united in marriage with Linda Cornoyea, who with two children, preceded him death. He leaves to mourn his loss, two sons, Vaughn on the home place and Byron of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Nelle (W. G.) Dokken of Awater, Lil (O.M.) Fisher of Lakeside, Wash. also two brothers, Leslie of Redby and Robert of Osceola, Wis. He was a kind father and good neighbor, always willing to lend a hand, and will be missed by a host of friends. He was a member of Modern Woodman Lodge for nearly 50 years.
On February 9th he was taken to St. Barnabas hospital, Minneapolis and on Mar. 7 he was transferred to the Cokato hospital, where he passed away after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19, at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church, Rev. A. L. Olney officiating. Pallbearers were six close friends: Chas. Stewart, Jas. Jestus, A. J. Westphal, Chas. Lutter, W. B. Prigge and Wm. Lange. Many gifts of money were given toward a church memorial, the Cancer Drive and the Heart Fund. There were also many beautiful flowers.
Mr. Workman was possessed of a sunny disposition and in spite of all his suffering he always remained cheerful.
