ANNA E. WALTER

Mrs. Walter, 89, of 727 Thomas St. Roaring Spring, died at 5:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 1992, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.

She was born April 25, 1903, in Freedom Township, Blair County, the daughter of Samuel A. and Barbara (Feathers) Helsel. She was twice married, first to Edward Dick, then to William Walter. Both preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children: Mildred Wise of San Antonio, Texas, Carl Dick of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Edith Oakes, with whom she resided, and Dorsey Dick of Waynesboro; two stepdaughters: Aldine Long of Duncansville and Camilla Hoenstine of East Freedom RD; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Walter was a member of Leamersville Church of the Brethren, Duncansville RD.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring.

WALTER -- Services for Anna E. Walter of 727 Thomas St., Roaring Spring, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Leamersville Church of the Brethren, Duncansville RD, by the Rev. Jack Keebaugh. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. Memorial contributions may be given to Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg.
