Jim was employed as a supervisor for Raco's of South Bend, Ind.. Res; Mishawaka, Ind. Mil; U.S. Marine Corps, 1953-1956, Japan & Korea. Jim was a graduate of New Carlisle High School, Class of 1952. On June 8, 1957, Jim married Judith K. Modjeska, born on Jan. 26, 1939, in South Bend, daughter on John S. and Dorothy F. (Shead) Mojeska of New Carlisle, Ind. A second second marriage on July 13. 1972 to Linda Hinsch Daniels, daughter of Mervin and Gladys (Graf) Hinsch, of South Bend.
Preceding Jim in death was his Mother Helen, his father, Frederich F., and a brother Fred Jr, 38. There was a joke in the family that no males would live past 45. Jim broke the curse.
Surviving; are 2 daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Steve) Hora, of New Carlisle, and Miss Lisa Kring of South Bend. Two sons, Jamie and Jeff, both of New Carlisle; 1 grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Lois (Dale) Redman, of Plymouth and Maydeen (Albert) Laureys of New Carlisle; four brothers, Wayne of Peru, Robert of Fort Worth, Tx., Charles of New Carlisle, and Michael of Mishawaka.
