Beatrice M. Boeckel
YORK TWP. - Beatrice M. Boeckel, 92, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010, at her personal residence with family in attendance. She was the widow of Carl E. Boeckel, who passed in May of 1996.
Born on June 17, 1918, in York County, she was the daughter of the late Stewart M. Bailey, Sr. and Amy (Brenneman) Bailey Masimore.
In previous years, Beatrice was employed by Twin Pines Market Stand in Eastern Market, as a clerk and by Stillman's Dept. Store. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Springdale Congregation in York.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Betty Lawson and husband, Robert of York; a brother, Charles Bailey and wife, Mary of Glen Rock; two half-brothers, Henry Masimore and wife, Margaret of Ohio; James Masimore, and wife, Jackie of Windsor; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mamie Kiser, and Treva Whorl; and one brother, Stewart Bailey, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Jehovahs Witnesses Springdale Congregation Kingdom Hall, 50 W. Cottage Place, York, with Elder Frederick Dentler. Burial was private. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge.
