Napoleon Parker was third of nine children born to Moses and Mary Lee Parker. His obit shows Millidgeville, Georgia as his place of birth. He was shown in 1860 census with his parents in Alabama, and in 1870 the family was in Lumpkin County, Georgia, on their way west to Texas. His adult life was spent in Beckville, Panola County, Texas as he married Bennie Parrott, January 15, 1882 in the Rehobeth Church, Panola County, Texas. They then bought into and operated a general store in Beckville, an area chosen by Bennie. Later a son joined the parents in the store and it was then named "N.Parker and Son". The store was all things to the citizens of Beckville for years, in the old part of the town. Napoleon served as a Steward in the Methodist Church for 40 years.

Napoleon and Bennie's family grew to ten children:
Moses Lee Parker 1883
Benjamin Jabe Parker 1885-1925
Homer Napoleon Parker 1887-1888
Bishop Linus Parker 1889-1960
Augustus Fox Parker 1892-1961
Ola Maye Parker 1894
Lillie Brinson Parker 1898-1900
Hardy Ward Parker 1901-1905
Lou Sue Parker 1904-1904
Pauline Parker 1905-1997
plus they raised the younger half brother Harrison, who was born to the second marriage of Moses.

At the death of his father, Napoleon applied to the Court and received the guardianship of his minor siblings, during this time he "bought the father's land which had been left to the minors". By 1890, Napoleon was shown on Texas Tax rolls for Panola County as owning 1320 acres.

Youngblood Cemetery holds many members of the Parker's large famalies, as well as other cemeteries in Panola County.
