Born Nov. 18, 1916 in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Isaac M. and Edna (Stevenson) Bradburn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn C. Bradburn on Oct. 16, 1982; a brother, PFC Isaac M. Bradburn, who died in the Korean War; and a sister, Lydia Reeves of Frostburg.
He was a graduate of Central High School and Potomac State College and worked for the Maryland State Highway Commission for 38 years. He served in the Army retiring as a Sergeant First Class and served in World War II in Europe.
Survivors include two sons, Isaac "Fuzz" M. Bradburn and wife Rita of Green Spring, W.Va. and John "Jack" E. Bradburn Jr. and wife Molly of St. Charles, Ill.; his sister, Betty Fazenbaker of Lonaconing; five grandchildren, Christie Friend, Joshua Bradburn, Megan Bradburn, Angela Bradburn, and Andrew Bradburn; and seven great-grandchildren, Derek Iser, Destiny Davis, Mariah Davis, Michael Davis, Sterling Friend, Saige Friend, and Alexa Bradburn.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, 8 East Main St., Lonaconing, on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Maxwell Greenfield officiating.
Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10315 National Hwy., Cumberland, MD 21502.
