Betty Lee Fazenbaker, 86, of Lonaconing died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing. Born December 12, 1924 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Isaac Bradburn and Edna Elizabeth (Stevenson) Bradburn.
Betty married "Bill" Fazenbaker in 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Fazenbaker on December 20, 1989; two brothers, PFC Isaac M. Bradburn, who died in the Korean War and John "Jack" E. Bradburn of Cumberland and a sister Lydia Reeves of Frostburg.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing and a graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing and Catherman's Business School, Cumberland. She worked for sometime as a bookkeeper for Lonaconing Motors. She was the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by one son, Charles Robert Fazenbaker, Taneytown; one daughter, Brenda Lee Nichols, Keyser, WV; four grandchildren, Brian Fazenbaker, Alex Fazenbaker, Daniel Spiker and Jacy Wolfe; four great-grandchildren, Katie and Devon Spiker, Selah Wolfe and Dmitri Fazenbaker and numerous nices and nephews.
At her request she was cremated.
A memorial service will be held at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. (www.eichhornmckenzie.com), Lonaconing on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Family and friends will be received prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
