William and his wife Mary Moore migrated to Gallatin Co., Ill., near Omaha, in 1875, from Posey Co., Indiana. He was a veteran of the Mexican War. They resided in Black Township, Posey Co., where William was born June 22, 1821 and Mary Oct. 14, 1831. There they married Oct. 13, 1849. Both died near Omaha, Gallatin Co., Ill., Wm. Dec. 24, 1901 and Mary Feb. 8, 1898. They are bur. at Mt. Olive Cemetery, just across the border in White Co., Ill.

Mary Moore, wife of William Duckworth, was daughter of Elihu (Elisha) Moore, born ca. 1802, Georgia. Estate, 1874, Posey Co., Ind., Black Township. On June 9, 1822, he married Jane Nesler in Posey Co.
