COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Betsy Allen, 70, of Cookeville will be conducted tomorrow, May 1, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Jackson County.
Mrs. Allen died Sunday (April 29, 1990) in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Born February 24, 1920 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mary Langford Mabery.
Mrs. Allen was a retired dietitian with Cookeville General Hospital.
Her family includes three sons, Bruce Allen of Cookeville, Charles "Buddy" Allen and Ralph "Lucy" Allen, both of Detroit, Michigan; two daughters, Barbara Jo Allen and
Mildred Rippetoe, both of Cookeville; one brother, Louis W. Mabery of Carthage; one sister, Nora Chasteen of Cookeville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie W. "Slick" Allen.
Bro. James Paul Anderson will officiate at the services.
