Mrs. Adeline McConnell, Willamore avenue, widow of Will McConnell, died yesterday at St. John's hospital. She was 74 years old. Her death followed a long illness, although her condition became critical only last Sunday when she was removed to the hospital. Mrs. McConnell was a lifelong resident of this city. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Berriman. Her husband, who was a well-known business man of Springfield, died seventeen years ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence L. Flinn; one grandson; one granddaughter; one brother, John Berriman, Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Celia Shove, Marshalltown, Ia.; three nieces and one nephew. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 1-30-1936
