She met and married Sam Wells on December 21, 1910, to this union two children were born, Samuel M. C. and Henriene.
She departed this life on January 7, 1981, at 10:30 P.M. at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital, at the age of 93.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory a very, very dear husband, Sam Wells, a faithful son, M. C., and his wife, Eva, a devoted daughter, Henriene and her husband, Ford Clay, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren all of Chicago, Ill. One granddaughter of Reinstein, Germany, a great-granddaughter of Detroit, Mich. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
There is an open gate, that we cannot see, into which one must travel alone, But there is joy in knowing, that the Father claims his own.
