Ophelia "Fe'" Tucker Bousquet was born 28 January 1906 in Ponchatoula, LA, daughter of William Wilfred Tucker and Anna Gertrude Gourrier Tucker. When Fe' was eight years old, the family moved to New Orleans, LA. She married John Alphonse "Bob" Bousquet on April 17, 1929. Their first home was in Bogalusa, LA and in 1934, they moved to Houston.

Fe' was predeceased in death by her husband of 64 years; her parents; and three brothers, William Wilfred Tucker, Jr., Thomas Gourrier Tucker, and Louis Kendall Tucker; and grandson, Frederic John Delamain, Jr.

Fe' is survived by her four children and their spouses, John Alphonse Bousquet, Jr. and wife, Mary Miles, of Dallas, Texas, Kinta Bousquet Delamain and her husband, Frederic John, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Thomas Gourrier Bousquet and wife, Rebecca, of Brazoria, Texas, Marie Mathilde Bousquet Anderson and husband, Terry, of Houston. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, Dr. John Alphonse Bousquet III, wife, Melissa and their five children, Andrea Marie, Stephanie Ann, John Alphonse IV, Rebecca Annette, and James Miles; Suzanne Bousquet Gore, husband, Rex, and their three children, Amy Miles, Allison Lynn, and Mark William; Stephen Miles Bousquet; Mary Annette Bousquet; Marie Delamain Davis, husband, David, and their daughters, Ashley Elizabeth and Christina Marie; William John Delamain and wife, Donna; Renee Delamain Bevan, husband, Herb, and her son, John Frederic Pastorius; Thomas Gourrier Bousquet, Jr., wife, Denise, and their daughters, Kendall Denise and Kelsey Lynn; Robert Brant Bousquet, wife, Virginia and their sons, Robert Brant, Jr. and Paul Thomas; Katherine Lynn Bousquet; and Sarah Elizabeth Hardin and husband, Scott. Fe's death is also mourned by her many friends and her faithful companion of many years, Irma Beltran.

Fe' was the pride and idol of her children. She spent a life of most rare and exemplary usefulness. Her earnest piety bore noble fruit, and she has gone to her God laden with blessings.

Fe' was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, John McKnitt Alexander Chapter, Newman Circle, Past President. Charity Guild of Catholic Women, President 1964, and in 1991 was recognized for her fifty years of active membership in the Charity Guild. Other organizations in which she maintained membership were Society of Mayflower Descendants, National Society of the Dames of the Magna Charta, Colonial Order of the Crown, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Plantagenet Society. She held social memberships in the Houston Country Club and The Houston Club for many years.

Pallbearers will be her five grandsons. Funeral mass will be held Monday, November 26, 2001, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road. Rite of committal following the funeral mass will be at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Park Westheimer, where Fe' will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
