Graveside services for Charles Edward Steckman, 67, of Carnegie will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Carnegie Cemetery with rev. Arthur Blount officiating.
Charles was born December 30, 1940 to George and Leona (Huckleberry) Steckman in Carnegie and died Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Lawton.
Charles lived most of his life in Carnegie and owned and operated Steckman's Body Shop. Charles enjoyed automobiles of all kinds, fishing and cooking was his passion. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carnegie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Steckman; and sister, Marilyn Wilcox.
Survivors include one daughter, Shandell Sears and Husband, Scott, of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Haley Harrison of Weatherford, Sydney Sears of Austin, Texas and Stone Sears of Austin, Texas; sister, Barbara See and husband, Herman, of Carnegie; sister-in-law, Linda Steckman of Carnegie, uncle, Floyd and wife, Elise Steckman of Carnegie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Burial was under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home of Carnegie.
