Dr. Snow's maternal great-grandfather was Rev. Dr. William Staughton, D.D.(1770-1829), a clergyman of national reputation in his day, and his maternal grandfather, Rev. Samuel W. Lynd, D.D., (1796-1876), also was a prominent theologian.
Dr. Snow began his education in Miss Simpson's private school in Cincinnati. He graduated from Chickering Institute, and in 1891 completed the regular course in Pulte Medical College of Cincinnati as gold-medal man and valedictorian of his class, making one hundred percent in all studies.
He practiced medicine in Norwood, Ohio. In 1891 he pursued a course in the Post-Graduate School of Medicine of New York. He subsequently became attending physician to Bethesda Hospital, Protestant Home for the Friendless and Foundlings, and Pulte Medical College, all of Cincinnati, and professor of neurology in the college. Dr. Snow was a member of he Ohio and Kentucky State Homeopathic Medical societies, the Miami Valley Homeopathic Medical Society, and the Cincinnati Homeopathic Lyceum.
He married Emma Swain Folger July 25, 1888, daughter of Captain Albert Gardner Folger and Mary Catherine Macy Folger. Their children were Albert Folger Snow, Dr. Henry (Harry) Snow, Jr., Mary Catherine and Emma Louisa Snow.
On October 9, 1932, Dr. Snow died at his residence, 4296 Ashland Avenue, Norwood, as a result of a stroke. He was interred in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
