Catherine Louisa Lynd Snow was one of ten children born to Rev. Dr. Samuel W. and Leonora Maria Staughton Lynd. Her birthplace was Washington, DC.
She married attorney Henry Snow and they became the parents of Samuel (never married), Leonora (never married), Katharine (never married), Laura (never married), Virginia (married Albin P. Gaylord), Dr. Henry (married Emma Folger), and Dr. William Staughton Snow (married Mary Elizabeth Robinson). Her sister, Mrs. Jacob Burnet and her nephew, Elijah Waring Lynd, also survive.
After her husband's death, Catherine made her home with her daughter Katharine L. Snow in Chicago, IL, where she died of pneumonia at age 87.
