FRANK D. WHATMAN, 69, of 214 Fayette Street, Ithaca, died at 8:05 a.m. yesterday at Tompkins County Memorial Hospital, Ithaca, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lily Whatman of Ithaca; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Smith of Corning; two sons, Frederick J. Whatman of Maine and Donald F. Whatman of Groton; seven grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Carpenter's Union, FOE 1253 and Independent Order of Foresters, all of Ithaca. The body was moved to the Shea Funeral Home, 314 West State Street, Ithaca, where friends may call.
