At an early age she was confirmed and united with the Reformed Church in Wattenwil, Switzerland. She came to the country in 1881. On June 2, 1884 she was married to John Longenecker in New York City. To this union was born ten children, four of who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Emma Sharp, Mrs. Bertha Yaggi, Mrs. Mary Sieber, Mrs. Lena Schussler, and Mrs. Freida Peterson; a son, John Longenecker, Jr.; five brothers, Jacob, Fred, Solomon, Simon and John; seven sisters, Mrs. Barbara Zutter, Mrs. Elise Fisher, Mrs. Rose Roth, Mrs. Mary Stocker, Mrs Emma Brown, Mrs. Flora Lorenz, and Mrs. Millie Kaderly. There are also 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She resided in New Philadelphia twenty years during which time she attended this church (First United Church of Christ, New Philadelphia). The last fourteen years of her life were spent in Orlando, Florida where she was a faithful member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
