Fredrich C. Blank passed away at his farm home near Hillpoint last Thursday night of complications of disease at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 20 days.
Mr Blank was born in Germany on 23 February 1855, and was one of a family of seven children. He came with his family to this country when a lad about ten years old. The family settled in Dodge County where he spent his boyhood. In 1883 he was united in marriage, and with his bride came to Sauk county, settling on a farm in Washington township, where he resided until the time of his death.
A large family was born to Mr and Mrs Blank, nine children now living. They are: Mrs Arthur Werth, Loganville; Mrs Otto Gudenschwager, Mrs Paul Kolba, Theodore, at home; Selma of Madison; Walter, barber in Loganville; Hilda, employed here, and Herbert at home.
Besides his wife and children, Mr Blank is survived by three brothers and two sisters; William of Hartford, Wisconsin; August of Milwaukee; Carl of Atwater, Wisconsin; Mrs Fred Kutzbach of this city, and Mrs Uhlman of Hartford, Wisconsin.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock in the Lutheran church at Tuckertown, conducted by Rev Reimer. Interment was in the cemetery near the church.
