Albert August Boehnke, the son of Carl and Mathilda (Dorow) Boehnke was born December 15, 1894 on a farm north of Garner. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church and attended St. John's Parochial School. He served his country during W.W.I in the U.S. Army. Jun 25, 1924 he married Laura Jass at St. John's Lutheran Church near Garner. They farmed northeast of Garner until retiring from active farming in 1948 at which time they moved into Garner. Albert also worked as a sexton at Concord Cemetery for many years. His wife Lora died January 2, 1966. December 27, 1967 he married Cora Reveland Halvorson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Garner. They have continued to make their home in Garner.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; Senior Citizen and the Garner American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Cora; 3 step-children, 7 step grandchilren; 2 step great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Tillie Hinrichs of Ventura; 4 brothers, Charles of Ventura
