Charles Orville Yocom was the son of Charles E. & Mary A. Hall Yocom. He married Noi Frances Dickerson in 1913.

Athens, Feb. 4—Charles Orville Yocom, of rural route, Sherman, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday in Memorial hospital, Springfield, where he had been a patient about a week. He was 69 years old.
Mr. Yocom was born March 27, 1884, near Williamsville, a son of Charles E. and Mary Hall Yocom. He was a member of Williamsville Methodist church and Laverly Masonic Lodge 203, Williamsville. Mr. Yocom had been a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Noi; four sons, Donald and Wayne, both of Springfield; Robert of Georgia, and Lowell Gene, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Banner, Elkhart; Mrs. Imogene Koening, Chicago, and Mrs. Mary Catherine Marado, Riverton; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Ford, Springfield, and Mrs. Hazel Hussey, Williamsville; two brothers, Earl, Williamsville, and Cecil, Springfield, and six grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Mott & Son funeral home and will be removed Saturday afternoon to the residence, three miles east of Sherman, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Williamsville Methodist church. Burial will be in Wolf Creek cemetery.
