Earl V. Yocom, 93, of Williamsville died at 6:45 p.m. Friday at Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Sangamon County, Mr. Yocom was the son of the late Charles and Mary Yocom. He married Lulu M. Lawson in 1916. He was a 70 year member of the Williamsville Christian Church and served on the church board for many years. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, Senior Citizens Club and a 50 year member of the Williamsville Lavely Lodge 203 AF & AM. From 1912 to 1930, Mr. Yocom owned and operated two telephone exchanges. From 1930 and until his retirement in 1963 he farm near Williamsville. He was preceded in death by two children.

Surviving are his wife, Lulu; two daughter, Mrs. Rosalie Jones of Williamsville and Mrs. Gladys Henriques of Roseville, Calif. one granddaughter; seven nieces and five nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mott and Henning Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Robert Green officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, near Williamsville.
