Art was born January 14, 1917 on a farm NW of Flandreau, SD to Henry and Meta Dierks Pulscher.  He attended Tidd Country School in Riverview township.  He started farming with his father and married Irma Hardies November 14, 1939 at Jasper, MN.  They moved to a farm NW of Flandreau and farmed there until they retired and moved into Flandreau in November of 1994.  His wife, Irma, preceded him in death April 20, 1997.  He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where he served on various committees and boards.  He also enjoyed hunting.
Art is survived by one daughter, Sandra and her husband, Gerald Wittrock, Flandreau, SD; two sons, Darrell and wife Dorothy, Sturgis, SD; Allan and his wife Karen, Flandreau:  eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one brother, Sheridan and his wife Edith, Flandreau. 
He was preceded in death by his wife Irma, one great granddaughter, his parents, five sisters and five brothes.
