Henry Pulscher, native of Germany who came to the United States when a mere boy and who has lived in Moody county for the past 37 years, died on Tuesday, July 3, 1945 at the local hospital where he had been a frequent patient as a result of heart trouble.  He was an industrious and highly respected farmer.
Funeral services conducted by Rev Daniel Knox Ford, were held at the Davis funeral chapel and at the Presyterian Church Friday afternoon and interment was made in the family lot at the Union Cemetery, Flandreau.
Henry Pulscher was born in Germany on June 11, 1869  and came to this country as a small lad.  He died July 3, 1945 aged 76 years and 21 days.
He was united in marriage to Meta Dierks at Rockford, IL on November 11, 1896 and to this union were born twelve children, three of whom preceded their father in death.
To mourn the passing of this husband and father are his widow, Meta and nine children: Mrs. Wilbur (Anna) Jones, Reiner and George Pulscher, Flandreau, SD; Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Janssen, Spencer, IA; Miss Katherine, Flandreau; Henry Jr with the armed forces in Italy; William Arthur and Sheridan of Flandreau.
One brother and three sisters who survive him are Reinhart Pulscher, Spencer, IA; Mrs. Jennie Ottenhausen, Freeport, IL; Mrs. Nettie Ernst, Sibley, IA; and Mrs. Arthur Mayor, Miami, FL.  He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends.
