Lucy was born July 25, 1918, in Leonore to Charles and Frances (Frangenberg) Frings. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Floyd H. Puetz, three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by sons Martin C. (Cathi) Puetz, of North Augusta, SC, and Brian J. (Diane) Puetz of Dunlap; daughters Roberta (Steve) Lehmkuhl of Ottawa, Rosemary (David) Rinaldi of Reno, NV, Barbara Puetz of Streator, and daughter-in-law Sharon Puetz, of North Augusta, SC. Lucy and Floyd participated in several productions at Engle Lane Theater, and she developed the "Share the Fun" productions for the Sandy Ford 4-H club. Of her many civic activities, she felt most proud of participating in the Streator Canteen during WWII, serving the troops as they made their way across the country. Lucy took great pleasure in spending time in her garden and working on her dairy farm. She also owned and operated a beauty shop in her home.

Lucy leaves behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to church and family. As a survivor of the Great Depression, she saw the importance of living a life marked with wise decisions and frugality.
