Laura was married to John Oliver Founds. (She may have been his second wife.) She worked in a cotton mill in the 1880's, and was a mother and housewife, raising five children: John A, Margaret E, Rachel Lavina, Mary M & Oliver P.

Laura Ferguson Founds [Obituary from news clipping]
Mrs. Laura Ferguson Founds, wife of Oliver Founds, died at her home, (603?) Mohawk Ave., Norwood, yesterday morning at ___ o'clock. Death was due to a stroke suffered a week ago. Mrs. Founds, who was 70 years old had been a resident of the borough for fifteen years.
Besides her husband she is survived by four children: Mrs. Rachel Benson of Ridley avenue, Norwood; Mrs. Harry Bearint, of Boothwyn; Oliver Founds, Jr. of Chester, and John Founds of Virginia. Two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Arthur Rowles, of Norwood; Miss Lila Ferguson, of New York; Samuel Ferguson, of New Jersey and John Ferguson, of Upland, and thirteen grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held at the funeral parlors of Horace Griffith, on Chester Pike, Norwood on Saturday afternoon with interment at Chester Rural Cemetery. Rev. Leslie K. Richardson, pastor of the Olivet Presbyterian Church of Prospect Park, will officiate.
