Mabel was one of 10 children (Charles, John, Esther, Helen, Mary, Richard, Joe, Alfred, Eva) and was born to Charles William and Frances Esther Blotz and grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Mabel is the wife of James Emery Austin. They were married on November 19th, 1941 in Newcastle, WY. They previously lived in Sturgis, SD until they moved to California in 1953. They had 11 children; Their infant daughter, Joanne Frances, is also interred on the same plot.
Mabel was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Livermore, CA, as well as the Ladies Aid, YLI and CCD. She was a teacher's aid at St. Michael's School. She was even elected in 1963 as Livermore Mother of the Year.
NOTE: Mabel is my great-aunt - her sister, Helen, is my grandmother. My grandma and Sister Esther Blotz took care of her at my grandma's house until she passed away. ~Alina
