Elfie A. Terry, 60, R.R.2, Yorktown, wife of Rev. Gayson Terry, died early Saturday morning at Ball Hospital following an extended illenss. She was born in Fentress County, Tenn. and came to Delaware County in 1927. Prior to coming here, she had lived in Scott County, Tenn.

Mrs. Terry was a member of East Side Missionary Baptist Church and Warner Gear Sympathy Club Auxiliary.

Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Imogene Peters, Armathwaite, Tenn., Mrs. Amaryellis Sewell and Mrs. Gladys Goad, both of Yorktwon, and Mrs. Elise Cross, Eaton; three sons, O. Ronald Terry, Parker, Raiford S. Terry, Muncie, and Gayson Lee Terry, New Castle; her mother, mrs. Lorinda Garrett, Armathwaite, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Roxie Goad, Fort Wayne, Mrs. Flora Terry and Mrs. Lucrita Hammond, both of Oneida, Tenn., and Mrs. Ruth Goad, Armathwaite, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at East Side Missionary Baptist Church 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Leland Thomas and Rev. Lonnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary or at the church an hour before the services.
