Mrs. Roy Rens, 62, of Alton died Wednesday in a Sioux City Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Orange City. The Rev. John T. Ebbers will officiate. Burial will be in Nassau Township Cemetery, rural Alton, under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mrs. Rens, the former Marlys E. Scholten, was born Oct. 10, 1919, at Alton. She was married March 25, 1960 at Alton and they farmed in the Alton area.

She was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Society of the church.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; three daughters, Miss Barbara and Miss Carol, both at home; and Miss Ruth of Sioux City; one stepson, Jacob of Boring, Ore.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Gordon (Brendine)Nyhof of Gresham, Ore., Mrs. Dick (Grace) Thomas of Sioux City and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Schelling of Orange City; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence of Paramount, Calif, and Elroy of Alton; and one sister, Mrs. Leonard (Anna Marie) Berkenpas of Alton.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
