OBITUARY: H. E. THOMAS DIES SUNDAY, JAN. 13, 1952
Herbert Elsworth Thomas, aged 74 years, a retired Fort Winnebago Township farmer, passed away Sunday evening at his home. He is survived by his wife, Bessie, five daughters, Mrs. Oscar Christopherson of Waupun, Mrs. Arthur Waddell, and Mrs. Howard Baer of Baraboo, Mrs. Raymond Jessie of North Freedom, and Mrs. William Barker, Merrill; two sons, Leslie and Homer of Madison, a half-sister Mrs. Delbert Judge of Woodbridge, Calif.’ Two half-brothers, Glenn Morrison of Elk River, Minn., and Earl Morrison of Glennwood, Minn.; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Port funeral home in Portage, the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Friends may call this afternoon and until the funeral hour.
