Addie E. BARRETT was the third of six children born to Alfred BARRETT and Corintha RICHMOND. Her siblings: David S. BARRETT (1833-1916) married Sarah Mariah WOODWORTH (1836-1902); Alfred Richmond BARRETT (1835-1904) married Clarissa M. ADAMS (1845-1912; William H. BARRETT (1843-1914) married Fannie C. NELSON (1848-1939); Sarah BARRETT born 1845; and Walter J. BARRETT bor 1848 married Lucy A. DENFORD.
Addie E. BARRETT married 1861 in Colebrook, Ashtabula co, Ohio, William Franklin COLE born Dec 1839 in Colebrook, Ohio he died Sep 1865 at age twenty-five. He was reared a whig; voted as a republican, and was an active supporter of the Baptist Church, the son of Gilbert COLE and Sarah "Sallie" OWEN. He and Addie had two children born in Colebrook, Ashtabula co., Ohio: Edith Corintha COLE born 1862 married George A. NYE and they later divorced. Their daughter, Addie NYE married in 1917 Nelson D. NORTON and they lived in Perry, Lake Co, Ohio.
William Barrett COLE born 1864 died 1932 married Mary (STOWE) SHEPARD and they had 5 sons, Gilbert S., William A., David "Barrett", Kenneth R., and my father, Victor Arthur COLE. [by Mary Kathleen (COLE) Ward]

Obituary -Painesville Telegraph Tuesday, 27 July 1920: "Mrs. Addie E. Jayne, a resident of this city for the past 45 years passed away this morning at the home of her son, W.B. Cole on Mentor avenue. She was born in Highland, Michigan, Sept. 6, 1842. She is survived by her husband, L.R.Jayne and 5 children, Mrs. Edith C. Nye, W.B.Cole, Alfred L. Jayne, and Mrs. L.T. Curtis of this city, and Forrest M. Jayne, of Philadelphia, PA. the funeral services will be held at the home of W.B.Cole Thursday afternoon at 2:30 and will be conducted by Rev. M.W.Foshay, pastor of the First Baptist church of which Mrs. Jayne has been a member for many years. Burial at Evergreen cemetery."
