Farmer D. W. Howell Succumbs to Heart Trouble on the Street

D. W. The deceased had just driven to the city to do some trading. Dr. Avery, the deceased's physician, ascribed the fatality to heart trouble. Ulysses (Neb.) Dispatch: Mr. Howell the morning of his death, had gone down to the depot to meet Mrs. Townsend and child, of Lincoln, formerly Miss Winnie Furr, feeling as well as usual. They had just started for home in the phaeton, and were busy talking, when Mr. Howell dropped the lines and died instantaneously. Deceased had been doctoring for heart trouble for several years, and the last few weeks was thought much better. Miss Nina Furr, who writes us these particulars also adds that grandpa, Mrs. Howell's father we suppose, is quite well for one who is 86 years of age. In his will written 29 June 1897 in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma, Daniel "bequeathed his estate to his namesake, if there was one. If not, his step-daughter received it."
