Joseph Younger
Dies at 65
BURLINGTON, April 16 - Joseph R. Younger, 65, died at 11:30 a.m. today in a Chapel Hill hospital after 14 months failing health and one day's critical illness. He was a native of Alamance County and a retired textile works.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harris Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Maggie Foust Younger; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Hall of Burlington and Mrs. Howard M. Loy of Route 4, Burlington; two sons, Edgar T. of Burlington and Hubert J. of Route 1, Graham; his mother, Mrs. Emma Younger of Gibsonville; two sisters, Mrs. John Reid and Mrs. E. R. Gerringer of Gibsonville; two brothers, Charles and Sid Younger of Gibsonville; nine grandchildren.
