The death of William Kuehlmann, an aged and highly respected resident of this city occurred at the home of Bernard Eggert at Rankin at an early hour on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday he went to the farm of Mr. Eggert at Rankin to remain a day or two. About nine o'clock that evening he retired in apparently good health. About three o'clock A.M. Mr. Eggert was awakended by a noise in the room in which Mr. Kuehlmann was sleeping and on going to ascertain the cause of the noise, found the dead body of deceased upon the floor.

Deceased was born at Bromberg, Germany on June 21, 1846. On Nov 6, 1862 he was united in marriage to Wilhelmena Noetzel. In June 1863 they emmigrated to this county and settled at Manitowoc where they remained about one year when they moved to this city where they resided until 1892, from here moving to Sheboygan where they remained until last spring when they returned to this city to spend their declining years.

To this union there were 13 children born 8 of which together with the bereaved wife survive to mourn the loss of a kind father and husband. The surviving children are E.C. Kuehlmann of Sheboygan, John G. Kuehlmann of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, Wm. Kuehlmann of Glidden, Gus. Kuehlmann of Snahola, Pa., Mrs. J. M. Schiefer of Watertown, Mrs. Otto Klessig of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs. John Busch and Mrs. Wm. Nesemann of this city. In addition to these are 28 grand children and 5 great grand children.

The funeral will be conducted from St. Paul's Lutheran church in this city Friday afternoon at 1:30 Rev. F.J. Eppling officiating. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in the bereavement.
