George m. 1) June 23, 1902 at Wakefield, Mass. (by Rev. Hugh A. Heath), Emily E. Emerson, dau. of Frederick Emerson and Rhoda Frances Howard, b. Nov. 3, 1875 at Wakefield, Mass. She d. May 30, 1903 prob. at Bridgeport, Conn. soon after giving birth to her only child. Emily was a descendant of Mary (Chilton) Winslow, historically renowned as the first passenger of the 1620 Mayflower voyage to step ashore onto Plymouth Rock at present-day Provincetown, Mass.
