• At St. Mark's Church, Aberdeen, S.D., Oct. 17, 1900, the Bishop of South Dakota admitted Marshall Foster Montgomery to the Order of Priesthood. The Rev. Edgar Campbell preached the sermon; the Rev. John H. Babcock presented the candidate. Six priests joined in the laying on of hands. Mr. Montgomery will remain in charge of Aberdeen.
Marshall m. June 14, 1900 in Huron, South Dakota, Pearl Louise Abell, dau. of Gabriel W. Abell and Louisa Hughey. In the April 1930 census they were residing in Newark, NJ where Marshall was the Rector of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. In the April 1940 Federal and 1945 State census they were residing in Lake Worth, Florida. The 1910 through 1940 federal censuses indicate Marshall and wife Pearl Louise had no children.
At Marshall's death, wife Pearl Louise was the informant. She died in 1963, and was interred next to her husband on Feb. 8, 1963. However, where and the exact date of her death has not been confirmed.
