JAMES HENRY BOYDSTON
James Henry Boydston, son of Henry and Mary Sowder Boydston was born at Cmden Point, Missouri on June 10, 1907. He entered farming at a young age and was engaged in farming and was a stockman all of his working years. He married Irene Pike in 1931. She died in 1948. He then was married to Kathryn Virginia Weightman Reeves on May 14, 1950. They lived in Nemaha and brown counties where Henry farmed for himself and Marvin Scoby, Kahn Lortscher, Kenneth Heiniger and most recently, Harold and Gary Scoby.

Henry belonged to the First Baptist Church of Sabetha and took an active part in church activities. He looked after the physical plant for several years and took great pride in his work.

Henry died January 5, 1987 at his home in Sabetha. Surviving him are his wife of the home; a step-son, Robert Reeves of Emporia; six sisters, Viola Kinghorn of DeWitt, Nebr., Dorothy Buttner of Seneca, Sarah Eggleston of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Delphia Hinton of Fairview, Grace Billings of Humboldt, Nebr. and Ruby Watkins of Sabetha; three grandchildren, Tony, Bradley and Amanda Reeves.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church January 7, 1987 with the Rev. Blaine Shaffer officiating. Interment was in the Sabetha Cemetery.
