Ethel C. Adams, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Friday, September 24, 1920, in St. Thomas, a daughter of the late Lesley K. and Nora (Brandt) Christman and the widow of Robert C. Adams, who died March 23, 2011.
Ethel graduated from St. Thomas High School. She was formerly employed at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Carlisle Area School District, where she had worked in the cafeteria at several of the district's schools and the Embers Restaurant, Carlisle. Ethel attended the Carlisle Reformed Presbyterian Church and she loved gardening, traveling and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor King Counts officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
