Thomas Deegan
Glasgow--Thomas Deegan, 58, native of Valley County and son of the county's first sheriff, died in a Glasgow hospital. He had been sick for a year with a heart ailment. The funeral was held Thursday morning. The body was taken to Frazer for burial with military rites.
Deegan was born at Hinsdale. The family moved to Frazer in 1910, and Deegan's home had been in Glasgow since 1942.
A rancher and rider, he took part in many rodeos here, and in later years was a pickup man in the arena.
He was a veteran of World War 1. He was married to Julia LaRoque at Frazer, Dec. 24, 1939.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Margaret Deegan of Glasgow; two stepsons, Alfred and Joseph Grandchamp; a brother and five sisters.
