Effie Harder, 94, of St. Louis, and formerly of Terre Haute, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 1996, in West County Care Center in Ballwin, MO. She was a homemaker. She was born Sept. 25, 1901 in Owen County to Eli and Mary Duling Bivens. Her husband, Raymond G. Harder, died May 1970. Survivors include three sons, Leroy L. Harder of Parish, Fla., Leon L. Harder of St. Louis and Paul R. Harder of Berea, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. She was a charter member of the Terre Haute Bible Center. Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Virgil Romans officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour before the services.
