Brazil, Ind., Dec. 6 - Mrs. Amanda C. Rightsell , widow of Tillman Rightsell, died Thursday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harry Sutherland, 713 South Depot street, aged 86 years and 27 days. Mrs. Rightsell's death was in directly do to a fall she suffered about a year ago in which she fractured her hip. She was born in Putnam county and was a daughter of John and Louisa Day, pioneer settlers of Putnam county. The deceased formerly resided on a farm south of Harmony, but since the death of her husband 10 years ago had made her home with Mrs. Sutherland. She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Mrs. Minnie McCullough and Mrs. John Early, of Terre Haute; Mrs. Harry Sutherland and Mrs. Sam Medo, City; Louis and Ross, city, and Edward, of Terre Haute; also 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three brothers, John Day, Oklahoma; Thomas Day, Nebraska, and Nathan Day, Kansas. The remains were prepared for burial at Lawson and Son's funeral home and returned this afternoon to the residence where funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. Austin Smith officiating, interment Grable cemetery in Putman county.
