Uncle Hosie (my mother Theresa's big brother) was born fifth of twelve children to the union of Deacon Chapman W. and Mary Jane Frazier-Rhodes. Realizing he needed a savior, Uncle Hosie joined the Greater Level Hill Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until his health failed.
He was ordained as a deacon and was always willing to help others in their time of need. Uncle Hosie was also a honorary member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Greensboro, Ga. He also was a member of the Callaway Crave Lodge where he served as Warden. In his youth he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Uncle Hosie was always cheerful and kind to us children. I liked being around him and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
