Oldest child of three known children both sons of Wiliam H. Benjamin and Mary Emma Tedrow. He was a farmer and he meet Etta May Curry daughter of (Robert) William Curry and his first wife Hannah Almira Myers. William and Etta May were married 11 May 1899 in Pike County, Illinois. They would have fourteen known children. Infant boy born and died ca 1899; Lawrence Raymond married Nora Bell Guthrie; Infant son born and died ca 1902; Lloyd Clifford "Dutch" married Eva Maria White; Logan E. married Gladys Boyles; Lela May married a Shipley; John William married Nora/Neva Boyles; Lena Leola married Clyde Leo Preston; Loren Fred married (Laura) Jane Doil; Lyndle Paul married Barthella Hartsock; Leslie Russell "Fat" died Battle of Java on the USS Houston in February 1942; Lola Norene married three times first a Casey, second Mosley and third was a Gordon; Laura Lucille married Rudolph Duggins; and Lester Leonard "Bud" married Marion Brockmeier.
