Leonard Benjamin, 64, of Malta Bend, MO, a native of Time, died Tues. Oct. 13, 1987 in his home. Born in Time, May 12, 1923 he was a son of William and Mary Curry Benjamin. On April 17, 1955, he married Marion Brockmeier in Carrollton, MO. She survives. Survivors also include 3 children, Marteena Boyd of rural Pittsfield, Len Benjamin of Franklin, Bob Benjamin of Marshall; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Norene Gordon of Las Vegas, NV, Lela Shipley of Pittsfield, and Leola Preston of Jacksonville; 2 brothers, John Benjamin of Summer Hill and Loyd of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews. The Benjamins lived in Malta Bend the past six years, moving there from Carrollton. Mr. Benjamin was retired from the International Shoe Co. in Marshall, MO. Mr. Benjamin was preceded in death by 5 brothers and a sister. Graveside services were conducted at 1:30 pm Fri. in Goodin Cemetery near Pittsfield. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall was in charge of arrangements.
